A brief listing of other artists I love.

Fiona Apple.
I hated leaving her off of the main page. I've inhaled her songs. I've cried her songs. I've lived her songs. She was in the public eye for too brief a moment, if only to be media-condemned for her appearance more than have her music listened to. Leave the woman alone and try hearing what she has to say next time.

Chrystina Lloree.
Something very worthwhile to come out of liking The Marvelous 3. She used to sing co-lead vocals with those aforementioned band members in an incredible sounding band called Floyd's Funk Revival (later shortened to The Floyds). Her vocal talent is undeniable, and she is an amazing performer to watch. Very sweet gal too.

SR-71.
Once again, the running theme that I discovered them through The Marvelous 3. They're personable, nothing super great nor super bad about hanging with them. The love here is definitely focused on the music. What a strong album with memorable songs, and the surprising part is that some of their best songwriting wasn't even featured on it. Looking forward to the next album, and also the re-releasing of older material.

Jellyfish.
First saw them over at a friend's (who actually had MTV..) house. The Why video. They were more Enuff Z'Nuff looking than Enuff Z'Nuff! Years later, I've grown to appreciate them much more.

Ridel High.
Are you superconnected now? Steve Coulter's, drummer extraordinaire of Tsar, previous band. No, it's not just because of him. This album fuggin rocks.

John Oszajca.
Making more connections. It's a Silver Shifter conspiracy baby. Tsar-friend perks interest in album turned discovery of actual amazing talent within. Would have loved this anyway without the Tsar-angle. Like Beck if Beck was that much cooler.

Weezer.
All right. One more Tsar connection and I'll shut it. You get a shiny green star sticker on your forehead if you know the real Tsar-Weezer connections, but for the time being I'll say my personal connection was just as simple as one leading me to rediscovering liking the other. I was feeling the whole WeezerVibe back in 95, but like a lame fair-weather MTVgen girl I lost track.

The Beatles.
Oh come on. What do I need to say? It's the BEATLES.

Queen.
Oh come on. What do I need to say? It's QUEEN.

Extreme.
Speaking of Queen, here is the best Queen cover band ever (you did catch the Concert For Life, correct?). Some of the best musicianship around. And 3 strong voices singing makes for a beautiful 3-part harmony, not Mr. Singer with some weak back-up vox. I was always a fan of their more political and spiritual songs. Wish they would be resurrected, so to speak.

Tonic.
Solid rock band. Not given the credit for having the solid rock albums they do. Emerson writes thoughtful lyrics.

Matchbox Twenty.
See Tonic.

George Michael.
Beautiful voice. The most poignant love songs ever.

Poison.
80s L.A. glam at its finest, evolving into simply a great american rock band. Don't throw Poison out with the Tuff's in your sweeping condemnations of hair bands. Poison was classic. Poison lives on.

Jump, Little Children. Shades Apart. Vertical Horizon.
Bands that played with The Marvelous 3 that I did not take advantage of being able to enjoy at the time; I realized how much I loved their music later. Duh.

Stroke 9.
I don't know anything about them as people, or much about them at all, so this could be potentially dangerous aligning them on some "favorite artists" list. Nevertheless, I friggin love Nasty Little Thoughts. One of those amazing albums you can listen to start to finish.

Backstreet Boys. NSync.
Pop is a fact of life. Get over it. BSB have two of the best lead singers out there too.

Smashing Pumpkins. Live. Faster Pussycat. Motley Crue. Hole. Bon Jovi. Aretha Franklin. Prince. Rush. Fleetwood Mac. Paula Cole. Heart. Violent Femmes. The Cure. The Marvelous 3.
People I'm being lazy about and just listing for now instead of saying something worthwhile.

Incubus. Stabbing Westward. The Ramones. The Yo-Yo's. Whiskeytown. Flickerstick. Rage Against The Machine. Harlow. Nirvana. Sugarbomb. Jeffrey Gaines. Green Day.
All new, new to my collection, or rediscovered artists that I've recently gotten into.
